Returns & Refunds Policy

We want you to feel completely confident trying MontiPlay. We offer a 30-day return policy, meaning you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Our 30-Day Risk-Free Guarantee
Because we know the real test of a Montessori toy is whether your child actually uses it, we accept returns even on gently used items within this 30-day window — the toy doesn't need to be unopened or unused to qualify. It should simply be returned in reasonably good condition, without excessive damage beyond normal play wear. You'll need your receipt or proof of purchase (your order confirmation email works fine).

How to start a return
Contact us at hello@montiplay.shop to request a return. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted, since we need to send you return instructions and confirm the details first.

Return shipping

Return shipping is the customer's responsibility, unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect — in those cases, we'll cover return shipping and send a replacement or refund.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately at hello@montiplay.shop with a photo so we can resolve it quickly.

Sale items
Items purchased during a sale are eligible for return under the same 30-day guarantee as full-price items — we don't want a discount to be the reason a family can't try our toys risk-free. [Only add an exception here if you genuinely need one, e.g. for a final clearance category — don't apply it sitewide while running your current promotion.]

Non-returnable items
Certain items can't be returned for hygiene or safety reasons, including personal care products, and any hazardous materials. Custom or personalized orders are also non-returnable, if applicable to your catalog. Gift cards cannot be returned or refunded.

Exchanges
The fastest way to get the right item is to return what you have, and once approved, place a new order for the item you'd prefer.

European Union & UK 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If your order is shipped within the EU or UK, you have the legal right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of receipt, for any reason and without justification, in addition to our standard 30-day guarantee above.

Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll let you know if it's approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider to post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval and you haven't received your refund, contact us at hello@montiplay.shop.
